Ordering from Pure Pens as an EU Customer
Since the UK left the EU on 1st January 2021, orders between the UK and EU are treated as international imports. Here's what that means for you as an EU customer.
Taxes & Duties
Orders under €150 (excluding shipping): We are registered for the EU's Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme. This means VAT is collected at our checkout at the point of sale, and there should be no additional taxes or fees to pay when your order arrives. The VAT rate applied will reflect the standard rate for your country.
Orders over €150 (excluding shipping): These orders are sent excluding VAT and will be assessed by your country's customs authority on arrival. You may be required to pay local VAT and/or import duty before your parcel is released. The amount will depend on your country's own tax rules.
Pricing
Prices on our website are shown inclusive of UK VAT by default. When you enter your delivery country at checkout, prices will be adjusted automatically — EU customers will see prices with the applicable EU VAT rate applied for orders under €150.
Delivery Times
We ship to the EU via Royal Mail International Tracked and courier services. Estimated delivery times are 7–10 working days via Royal Mail, or faster via courier. Please see our Delivery Information page for full details and pricing.
Northern Ireland
If you are based in Northern Ireland, your order is treated as a standard UK domestic order — no customs charges or import duties apply. Northern Ireland remains part of the UK customs territory for goods, so you'll benefit from the same delivery options and pricing as any other UK customer.
